Dear Colleagues,
I have a great pleasure to invite you for Polish Society for Emergency Medicine
19th annual meeting:
"2010 Winter Symposium of Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care "
March 2nd - 6th 2010, Karpacz - "Mercure Hotel Skalny", Poland
As the previous issues, Symposium is supposed to be an international venue. Lecturers from Europe, America and Poland will be highly represented. We count on presenting achievements of plural polish emergency departments and university emergency centers as well.
All presentation and lectures will be published in a textbook, accompanying the Symposium.
Traditionally, many satellite workshops are offered, including courses being part of an emergency medicine postgraduate programme, obligatory for the trainees.
Educational points for participation in Symposium as well as in the satellite courses are offered by the medical council
Among many subjects of the symposium, most attractive as: acute peritrauma bleeding, acute intoxications in ED practice, pediatric emergency medicine selected topics, education in EM, economy and management of ED and many more. Subjects will be presented by Irish, American and Polish experts.
Emergency departments functioning and organizational problems will be discussed based on polish and European experience.
The official languages of our symposium will be Polish and English.
Scientific abstracts and full texts, prepared according to regulations from Polish Society for Emergency Medicine webpage should be submitted electronically jjak@emerg.am.wroc.pl by 8th February 2010.
Social programme of Symposium covers "Philharmonics of Jelenia Góra" concert, folk party in "Chata Karkonoska" and Official Dinner closing the Symposium.
This year Symposium will offer an occasion to present Polish emergency medicine society to invited representatives if the government, health ministry, Parliament, Senate, many university and local authorities.
Continuing last year tradition we plan to lead common session together with most important Polish public media representatives.

Deadline for abstract submission is February 8th, 2010
The registration and payment dead-line is February 15th 2010.
