2008 Winter Symposium of Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care,
March 4th-8th, 2008,

Our Symposium is an international scientific and training venue, with active participation of European, American and Polish lecturers. It is going to be an excellent forum for presentation of scientific accomplishment of Polish emergency medicine centers.
Scientific works presented at the symposium, casuistic reports and training courses’ lectures are to be printed in accompanying symposium publication. Submission of papers for presentation deadline is January 31st.
The symposium will be accompanied by satellite courses in ultrasound diagnosing, rapid sequence intubation, non-invasive ventilation and emergency medicine curriculum specialization course,
All courses participants are eligible to be granted educational points.
Varying areas of emergency medicine are to be covered in this year’s symposium: acute bleeding and coagulation disturbances, neurological emergencies, primary treatment of infections, ethics and legal aspects of emergency treatment, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) and many more.
The lectures will be delivered by Irish, Swedish, American and Polish experts.
Another area of interest are organizational aspects and daily routine
of emergency departments in Poland and other European countries.
Official symposium languages are Polish and English.
Our symposium will be an opportunity for presentation of emergency medicine problems to Polish establishment representatives from Ministry of Health, from Polish Parliament, medical universities representatives and regional self-governments authorities.
